To celebrate the ongoing success of the Cinque blend we have released a special six pack with two bottles each of the 2016, 2014, 2010 vintages - all gold and silver medal winners.
Cinque is a wonderful blend made from five different varieties – Graciano, Tempranillo, Tinta Cão, Touriga Nacional and Sousão. Each of these varieties – which make excellent single varietal wines – come together beautifully. It's like that magical thing which happens when a group of old friends get together and bring out the best in each other – except in a bottle.
2016 Cinque - 94 points Huon Hook
"This blend of graciano, tinta cão, touriga nacional, sousão and tempranillo is an Iberian tour de force. The bouquet quietly displays earthy undergrowth savouriness, with berry and Campari aromas emerging after airing. Superb flavour and terrific length"
(195 dozen made) 14/7/2019. Drink 2021 to 2031
The 2014 Cinque is our highest scoring wine to date with 96 points from Huon Hooke...
“(Graciano Tinta Cão Touriga Nacional Souzão Tempranillo) Brilliant, deep, glowing red/purple colour. The bouquet is superb, showing fully ripe, complex dark fruit aromas, with a subtle underlining of good oak. It's similar in the mouth: full-bodied and tidy, with firm but balanced tannins and youthful vigour, while it's already drinking superbly. Long, satisfying finish; extra good concentration. An excellent red wine in every respect.”

2010 Cinque - 93 points James Halliday
"A full-on Iberian Peninsula blend of sousao, graciano, touriga national, tinta cao and tempranillo, a blend to end all blends in this idiom. The clear, bright colour leads into the fragrant berry and spice aromas of the bouquet; the next step is the medium-bodied palate, most impressive is the way the silky tannins have been handled."
